RunStreak Recap – 33 Weeks

Very enjoyable and well timed recovery week in my marathon training. A good marathon plan must have weeks like these built into them. Piling on long run after long run, weekend after weekend will only lead to burnout. Mix things up, have fun for a week, recharge and get back at it. I definitely feel [...]

Running. All You Need Is a Good Pair of Shoes?

My Father, a former cross-country coach, loves to say this to my wife and I as we’re sitting around the table. We’ll be talking about running and he’ll look up, smile, and say “Running is the cheapest sport and exercise there is. All you need is a good pair of shoes.” My wife laughs hysterically every time. Running Through the Elements

Winter was knocking on the door when I made the commitment to run the 2007 Cleveland Half Marathon. The first person I called was my Uncle (Runcle Ron) who lives in Syracuse, NY. Runcle Ron is a life long runner. My father and he have some epic stories about running together in whatever mother nature [...]
